Mobile Utility Vehicles

 In 2015, the Foundation raised funds to purchase two mobile utility vehicles (MUVs). The MUVs provide officers and the K-9 teams with access to irregular terrain and highly congested areas often difficult to maneuver.  For example, at Rose Bowl events and parade related activities officers had to utilize less maneuverable golf carts, which were inadequate for operational needs. The MUVs can be utilized to transport first responders, essential tactical equipment, and, on temporary basis, the holding of suspects. The MUVs emergency lighting and versatility are an additional tool to aid first responders in public service.
